International Online Conference & Bar Camp for Higher Education Managers

We are delighted to invite you to a dynamic and innovative gathering focused on exploring the future of higher education management in Europe. As the landscape of higher education evolves at an unprecedented pace, Higher Education managers face a myriad of challenges and opportunities. This bar camp serves as a collaborative platform where educators, administrators and science managers can come together to discuss, debate, and develop actionable strategies for navigating the future terrain of higher education management.

With our Bar Camp we create a space to delve into pressing issues such as for example digital transformation, the impact of artificial intelligence, new forms of internationalisation, the quest for inclusivity and sustainability, etc. Our unconference format encourages active participation, spontaneous discussions, the exchange of diverse perspectives, peer learning and networking.

The event takes place in the framework of the two projects "THEA Ukraine X (Multiplication Trainings for Higher Education Administrators in Ukraine)" organized by FH Münster University of Applied Sciences (in cooperation with Sumy State University) and "Management of Internationalisation and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation" organized by Leibniz University Hannover (in cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv). Both projects aim at empowering Ukrainian Higher Education Managers, that's why a special focus will be on the Ukrainian perspectiv.

We invite Higher Education Managers to collaboratively explore with us how we can manage higher education effectively, equitably, and resiliently in the face of existing and emerging trends and challenges. We look forward to your active engagement and inspiring contributions.

How exactly will the Bar Camp be organised?

The Bar Camp is an interactive exchange format. We will have a keynote opening session as an introduction in the plenum and then explore the open format of a Bar Camp. That means the liveliness and productivity of the event depends on the willingness of the participants to contribute: each participant is invited to bring in his or her own proposals for topics to be discussed in group sessions. Any topic can be chosen that is of relevance for the future of HEM in Europe.
Participants can choose freely which thematic sessions they would like to attend.

What can you prepare before the Bar Camp?

Think about which topics you would like to discuss about in the Bar Camp and if you like, indicate a thematic session proposal that you would like to chair / facilitate with your zoom registration!
