What is the closing date for applying for a place at the Department of Civil Engineering?

When does the programme begin?

The degree programme starts in winter semester each year (see also 'Information about the Civil Engineering degree programme')

Will relevant apprenticeships be recognised?

You can download a list of recognised occupations from the following link. The occupation learnt may be recognised fully or in part for the pre-study placement.

By when does the pre-study placement have to be completed?

Proof of having completed the placement must be presented by the start of lectures in the third semester at the latest.

What level of language is required?

Applicants who did not acquire their qualification to study at a German-speaking institution must, in addition to the usual admission requirements, demonstrate that they have adequate knowledge of German, for example by proving that they have passed the TestDaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) with an average score of '4', or must furnish equivalent proof.
