What do you have to do?
You must first check in the FINDEX whether the book you want is available in the library and can also be borrowed.
Then fill in the order form completely and send it off. The order form can only be used for one order at a time.
Orders that are not completed in full cannot be processed.
Please refer to the following sections for further explanations on exceptions to direct mailing, costs, loan periods, delivery conditions and times, payment method and legal aspects.
With your order you accept the delivery conditions of Münster University of Applied Sciences Library and agree to bear the costs incurred. As the ordering party, you are responsible for compliance with copyright law.
Delivery time
The delivery of an ordered book takes place as soon as possible, usually after approx. 3 to 4 working days.
You will be notified by us if we are exceptionally unable to fulfil your order.
Terms of delivery and lending
Deliveries are only possible within Germany.
The basis for any use of the library is the usage regulations in the current version. With your order you declare your express agreement to comply with the delivery, payment and usage conditions of the library of Münster University of Applied Sciences.
Exceptions to direct delivery
- DIN standards, presentation copies, journals / journal volumes, theses, reference works and loose-leaf collections as well as large-format books and books weighing more than 2000g cannot be sent directly.
- Books supplied by another library via interlibrary loan are excluded from direct ordering; they must be collected in person from one of our departmental libraries.
Loan period
The loan period is 4 weeks. It is provided on the enclosed deadline slip. The book/volume must have been returned to the library or the loan period extended by the specified return date, otherwise late fees will be charged according to our fee schedule.
The loan period can be extended 2 times upon request if there is no reservation.

Billing and payment
Your positively completed orders will be settled by debiting your fee account in the library system. Please pay the fees on your next visit to the library.
Legal aspects, data protection
The basis for any use is the library regulations (Benutzungsordnung der Bibliothek der FH Münster) in the currently valid version.
This means, among other things, that you are liable for the loss of a book in transit.
You are solely responsible for compliance with the copyright, personal rights and other rights associated with the materials sent.
