Our teaching offer
The Laboratory for Biochemistry and Sustainable Chemistry conducts practical experimental and simulation courses for the modules of Biochemistry (M.sc.), Hazardous substances - risks and regulations (M.sc.) and Process design (M.sc.). In addition, the practical course for the environmental engineering module, which will also be offered as part of the cooperative degree programme in water sciences from the 2020/21 winter semester, is carried out in our laboratory.
The majority of student work takes place within the framework of research projects that are thematically aligned with the main research areas of Professors Schupp and Wäsche. We make it a point to comprehensively prepare our students for their final theses in industry and help with job placements through a broad network of industry contacts. In selected projects it is also possible to carry out final theses in our laboratory.

Laboratory equipment
In addition to our basic equipment, we have methodological expertise in the fields of process engineering, eco-toxicology, biochemistry, organic chemistry and instrumental analysis.
