X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy - the seminar

X-Ray scheme
In collaboration with colleagues from the TU Berlin, AK Prof. Dr B. Kanngiesser, we have been organising a training event on X-ray spectroscopy twice a year since 2013. The event is based on the XRF training course of the Technical Academy founded by Prof Dr Janßen. Lectures, exercises and discussions cover the physical principles of XRF, instrumentation, sample preparation and measurement techniques based on empirical and FP models. Practical skills will also be trained in exercises. Each participant will receive detailed documentation and a certificate of attendance. Save the date: The next seminar will take place from 23 to 25 September 2025.

User meeting on X-ray fluorescence and spark emission spectrometry

X-Ray is on!

The X-ray fluorescence and spark emission spectrometry user meeting has been held annually for more than 30 years. Together with the German Working Group for Analytical Spectroscopy (DAAS) Münster University of Applied Sciences organises a meeting of users of X-ray fluorescence and spark emission spectrometry and related methods of solid analysis. The aim of the user meeting is to bring together research and industry in order to promote the exchange of information and stimulate new developments. Short presentations (approx. 20 minutes) will report on new instrument developments, solutions to current problems and, in particular, the use of these methods in laboratories in a wide range of industrial sectors. The user meeting will be accompanied by an exhibition of the most important equipment manufacturers, accessories and service providers, where visitors can seek direct contact. The talks will be in german or english and the participation in the AWT is free of charge!

The 30th user meeting will take place on 25 and 26 February 2025 - which we will certainly celebrate in one form or another! You can still register (up to 21. of February) and the program is online!

Statistical seminar

Power on!
Compare measurement data - improve quality! Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Klaus Schlitter teaches various statistical methods that support the presentation, evaluation and assessment of measurement data. This seminar focuses on the practical application of statistical methods and is aimed at laboratory, quality assurance and development personnel. Each participant will have their own PC to work on the examples in Excel. The next seminar is scheduled for March 2025.
