Basically, the Bachelor PLUS does not differ greatly from the "normal" Bachelor in energy, building or environmental technology. The difference is that you study one semester longer - that is: seven instead of six semesters. A few more credit points, one more project work - but much more time. You use the extra semester to gain extensive experience in professional practice, or you study for one semester at one of our partner universities abroad. The complete sixth semester is therefore a practical semester or a semester abroad. In the seventh semester you write your bachelor thesis.
Advantages of Bachelor PLUS
- More practical experience: The longer practical semester lets you immerse yourself more deeply in later professional practice. You will have considerably more time to gain practical experience in a company or enterprise in energy, building or environmental technology
- Stay abroad: The additional semester gives you the opportunity to get to know a foreign country. Especially in connection with a practical reference, such a stay abroad makes a good resume.
Another possibility is that you study for one semester at a foreign university. Norway, Japan, France, Spain, China or a country of your choice: Gain study and international experience on a particularly impressive level. - occupational contacts: The longer practical phase can be a good door opener for future employment in a company.
- BAFöG: Since the seventh semester of the Bachelor PLUS is the standard period of study, you are also entitled to BAFög in your last semester.
