The Master's degree program in Environmental Engineering aims to equip students with in-depth knowledge in the areas of sustainable resource use, environmental protection and innovative technologies in order to develop and implement effective solutions for company-specific, regional and global environmental problems.

Graduates of the Master's degree program in Environmental Engineering can work in various professional fields, including:

1. Environmental consulting and planning: You can work in consulting companies, such as engineering firms, that support companies and organizations in implementing environmental protection measures.
2. Environmental management: In companies and organizations, they monitor and coordinate environmental protection measures and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
3. Energy and resource management: You can work in companies that specialize in the efficient use of energy and resources.
4. Waste management and recycling: Here they deal with the development of strategies for waste reduction, recycling and environmentally friendly disposal.
5. Emission and water protection: You work in companies and authorities that focus on controlling and improving air and water quality.
6. Environmental technology development: In research institutions or technology-oriented companies, they develop new technologies and solutions to improve the environment.
7. Renewable energies and sustainable energy sources: In this area, they work on the development and implementation of solutions for the use of renewable energy sources.
8. Environmental education and communication: This involves communicating environmental knowledge to the public, schools or other interest groups.

10. Environmental protection authorities and organizations: You can work in governmental or non-governmental organizations dedicated to environmental protection, where you can pursue a career in the higher civil service.

These professional fields offer a wide range of opportunities for environmental engineering graduates to use their skills and knowledge to tackle current environmental problems and to work in fields of action that society as a whole urgently needs now and in the future. In addition, the Master's degree is the formal prerequisite for a doctorate and opens up further attractive career prospects

Specialization Technical Management
You also have the opportunity to choose the specialization "Technical Management". To do this, you must take and successfully complete a total of six elective modules, which are marked with "TM" in the list of elective modules. The "Technical Management" specialization and the associated modules will then be shown separately on your degree certificate.

Study program

The study program will be held in German.
The course can be started in the summer or winter semester. It is divided into three or five semesters of study (full-time or part-time) and one semester for the Master's thesis.
Lectures take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (planned).
For information on the course and module content, please refer to the examination regulations and the module handbook (to follow).
