.

Prerequisites

Correct university

The semester abroad must be completed at a state or state-recognised university in an engineering degree programme.

The International Office of Münster University of Applied Sciences will be happy to help you choose a suitable partner university abroad.

A progress report on the courses attended, including proof of attendance, or language courses taken on site can be credited with up to 15 credit points.

Practice phase

The Bachelor PLUS semester abroad always includes a practical phase. This should last at least 12 weeks. During this time, you will work in a company or institution in the field of energy, building or environmental technology and put into practice what you have learned during your studies.

  • Important: You will be admitted to the practical phase if you have passed all module examinations of the first and second semester and the module examinations of the third semester except one.
  • When choosing a suitable company, please contact your professors.
Further information and requirements for the semester abroad with practical phase can be found in the examination regulations for Bachelor PLUS.

Anyone who decides on an internship semester in the Bachelor PLUS programme must meet certain requirements:

International company

Before you apply for an internship semester abroad, you should have established initial contacts with a foreign company in the energy, building or environmental technology sector. A commitment and regulated agreements on remuneration or accommodation help to speed up the process.

Approval

You will be admitted to the practical phase if you have passed all module examinations of the first and second semester and the module examinations of the third semester except one.

Field report

You have to write a report about the internship semester with a presentation and reflection of your experiences. The report and the certificate of the foreign company are the basis for the assessment of a successful participation.

Further information and requirements for the internship semester abroad can be found in the examination regulations for Bachelor PLUS.
