Integral Planning

The planning and projecting of technical building equipment must meet the constantly increasing demands of new regulations, increased user requirements and the high ecological and economic demands of our time. This includes tailor-made energy concepts for heating and air-conditioning our buildings with renewable energies, as well as the sensible application of building physics possibilities.

This upheaval has made the spectrum of requirements of this kind complex, and digitalisation plays a major role in building technology planning. Digital planning in the field of building services engineering has become indispensable in today's working world.

The digital project planning and simulation of technical building systems is the basis for a professional design and planning that corresponds to the recognized state of the art.

The module of Integral Planning contains a guarantee of previously clarified learning contents and is thus located in the later course of the Bachelor's programme.

In addition to the basic project planning content, planning requirements and software training are also taught about the trades to be designed.

Components of the trades to be planned:

• Heating technology
• Sanitary technology
• Ventilation technology

This information is supplemented by the mediation of work phases within the HOAI.

In the project planning phase, projects are planned and simulated. These are real construction projects that are processed in their complexity and versatility without restrictions.

At the beginning of the processing a project presentation takes place. The reality proximity is ensured by a lecture of the enterprise planning actually in practice. There later types of use, as well as the individual defaults of the client are presented in detail.

Interdisciplinary teamwork is indispensable in planning. In order to strengthen this integral thought, the realizations are carried out in groups. Thus also problems between the trades are solved goal-oriented. This provides for a result-oriented way of thinking, which represents a central component of the later working life.

The project result is presented in a presentation. This form of examination offers the teams the opportunity to clarify individual planning contents. In order to ensure the quality of the results, the concepts are then critically questioned in a technical discussion and assessed on a performance basis.

After completion of the project planning phase, an excursion will take place. The real object is visited in the completion to ensure the relation to the practice.

In addition to existing teaching and research projects, final theses can also be carried out within the framework of laboratory operations. A conversion can take place by the laboratory or in co-operation with external enterprises.
