In a research project in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA), RWTH Aachen University and the Greven-based company trilogik, Prof. Dr. Götz Kappen from the Laboratory for Communications Engineering (NTLab) and his research assistant Markus Biermann investigated how GNSS receivers can be improved in two areas and thus adapted to the challenges of the present: They should be protected from external interference signals and at the same time enable even more accurate real-time navigation in the centimeter range.
Rover
Students of the bachelor's degree programme in Electrical Engineering have dealt with the topic of autonomous driving in the module "Project Management" and developed a robot car as a demonstration object for pupils and prospective students. The idea for the project came from Prof. Dr. Götz Kappen from the Laboratory for Communications Engineering, who supported the students in their work.
