The Master's degree programme in Electrical Engineering takes four semesters and starts in the winter semester.

Requirements for the Master's degree programme

A prerequisite for acceptance to the programme or for the continuation of studies is an undergraduate degree in Engineering or the Natural Sciences with an overall grade of "good" (2.5) or better.

The degree programme

Specialisation modules allow you to acquire the necessary skills for your chosen specialisation. If a specialisation seems to be too restrictive, however, it is also possible to simply choose your three favourite specialisation modules, and study the field of Electrical Engineering more broadly. Advanced and supplementary compulsory elective modules provide additional qualifications to give students the tools they need to face new technological challenges.

Course sequence

In general and subject-specific compulsory modules, you acquire a grounding in technical knowledge and social skills. In addition to these compulsory modules, you choose advanced modules related to your area of professional/technical focus, such as automation technology, information technology, renewable energies or embedded engineering.

Objectives

• Better career opportunities, enhanced knowledge and experience • Specialisation by expanding on content • A strong basis for working in industry and research • A foundation for possible future doctoral study

Occupational fields

With a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, graduates have outstanding prospects on the job market. Graduates of the Master's degree programme in Electrical Engineering are employed in areas such as: • Research and teaching • Management and production • Sales, operations and management of major projects in industry, etc.
