The lectures (1st to 3rd semester) impart the basic knowledge of the history of architecture.
The third part (3rd semester) considers important topics of the history of architecture (as well as of architectural theory) from Modern Architecture and its roots up to the present.
Practical exercises shall help to improve the structural and spatial knowledge.
Topics: New architectural developments of the 19th century, Rationalism, Futurism, Neues Bauen, International Modernism, architecture after 1945, structuralism, postmodernism, deconstructivism etc.
