Pursuing a cooperative doctorate

Is it at all possible to pursue a doctorate at a university of applied sciences? Yes! In the course of the Bologna Process, the possibilities for graduates with a degree from a university of applied sciences to pursue a doctorate have improved considerably. Although universities of applied sciences do not have the independent right to award doctoral degrees, PhDs can be taken in the form of a cooperative doctoral examination procedure - together with a cooperating university. If you have any questions, our Doctoral Studies Programme will be happy to help.
Doctoral Studies Programme

FH Münster established its own Doctoral Studies Programme in mid-2008. This programme enables us to actively accompany our doctoral candidates during and after their doctorates, and to act as a point of contact when questions arise. The Doctoral Studies Programme offers an interesting framework programme suitable for doctoral candidates from all areas, enabling them to prepare perfectly for a career in industry and academia .
