We consider knowledge and technology transfer to be much more than a legal duty. It is deeply rooted in our self-conception as a university of applied sciences. Our objectives, strategies, processes and structures for achieving this are regularly reviewed and adapted to new challenges in a bid to leverage untapped transfer potential effectively and efficiently.
As strong as the region
Adding to our own strength and diversity, the high-achieving Münsterland region provides extra potential for success, even though we have a much greater radius of action. Being an important business location in North Rhine-Westphalia, the region benefits from a diversified industry structure and a dynamic economy, featuring mainly small and medium-sized enterprises.
However, our region also feels the effects of demographic change, and is becoming culturally more diverse. Seeking to transform these challenges into opportunities, we engage in matters such as ensuring the necessary level of participation in society, and also play an active role on committees and within networks.
