The Lisbon Award is an award for innovative transfers between universities and companies. In 2007, Münster University of Applied Sciences awarded the prize endowed with 5,000 euros for the first time. In 2009, 2012 and 2014, he was awarded by the Board of Trustees.
The award is based on the Lisbon strategy developed by European leaders in 2000 in the Portuguese capital. Its goal is to make the European Union the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world.
Education, research and innovation transfer drive the successful implementation of this project. Münster University of Applied Sciences as one of more than 4,000 universities in the member states is part of the foundation of European competitiveness. She has always lived up to this responsibility. It promotes and demands the further development of the knowledge society, the principles of the Lisbon strategy are firmly anchored in its mission statement.
