Intercultural training Chile - Colombia - Germany
Cultural differences, time difference and language barriers - many things can lead to misunderstandings and thus to difficulties. In order to interact successfully internationally, strong intercultural skills are required. Internationality, however, is not easy to learn. That is why we connect you to fellow students from Colombia, Chile and Germany. You can experience first-hand in which ways different cultures and associated ways of thinking and acting can have effects on your (future) work. In this way you gain a high level of intercultural competence. And along the way, you will also get to know students from the partner universities and build up a network before you go abroad.
In this workshop, students from FH Münster, UPB in Colombia and USACH in Chile will take part in equal shares. The workshop will be held in English. 6 persons from each university can participate. If there are more than 6 registrations, the order of registration applies.
The training session takes place online in two sessions from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (German time). The following content will be covered:
- Raising awareness of the influence of culture and cultural differences
- Intercultural communication
- Intercultural virtual project teams
The next training will take place on the22nd and 23rd of April, 2024. If you would like to participate please get in touch with your contact person at your university (USACH; UPB).

Then our virtual language tandem "Meet2Speak" - Latin America Edition is the right choice for you. Here we match you with students from FH Münster in Germany, UPB in Colombia and USACH in Chile. "Meet to Speak" - we meet to speak. And alternately in German and Spanish. During the conversation, your tandem partner and you will not only be able to improve your own foreign language skills, but you will also learn a lot about your language partner's country of origin and culture through the intercultural encounter.
If your registration was successful, you will receive the contact details of your tandem partner and you can attend the introductory meeting on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022. There we will inform you about how to make tandem learning successful and give you tips for your self-organized meetings.
