Description and target group

FH Münster University of Applied Sciences has included the topic of sustainability in its guiding principles and the current Higher Education Development Plan (Hochschulentwicklungsplan). There are various examples of how this guiding principle is being implemented and lived by on different levels of the university. Those make up the diverse "perspectives on sustainability" which we want to present during the staff week. There are many processes at work throughout the university, which have helped to transform FH Münster into a sustainable higher education institution for years: the "Academic Score Card Sustainability" and the climate protection concept which are being implementend on the strategic level of the university, a paper on sustainable mobility which has been introduced as a point of orientation for university staff and students, research facilities which are focused on sustainability, study programmes which deal with sustainability or energy efficiency within the university buildings.

We would like to share our knowledge and inspiration in that area with other institutions and gain new insights through the exchange of experiences and knowledge during the staff week.

Last but not least, the International Staff Week completes this year's motto at FH Münster: "sustainable together".

The staff week is aimed at all interested staff of universities and other scientific institutions, who are dealing with the topic of sustainability on any level during their work or who would just like to educate themselves in that area. We are actively inviting scientific and non-scientific staff, depending on where the topic is placed within the different universities. This can be International Officers, climate protection managers, facility managers, professors, or any other administrative staff or project coordinators. We would like to encourage some participants to present best practices from their home universities as well.
