The study programme

The study program for the Bachelor of Industrial Engineering and Management is specially tailored to your requirements. Here you can gain further qualifications without giving up your professional activity. Flexible time and learning arrangements allow you to combine your studies with your career. Industrial engineers know the necessities of technical production processes, take into account business requirements such as marketing or cost efficiency, and can use modern information technologies.

Study organisation

About three-quarters of the combined Industrial Engineering and Management degree programme consists of self-study sections and one quarter of face-to-face events. In traditional courses of study, content is taught in lectures. In the combined study program, students receive didactically prepared media for self-study. This enables them to work on the contents themselves. In addition, weekly exercises and laboratory practicals are offered during the regular lecture period, some of which are subject to compulsory attendance. The courses usually take place on Saturdays, but can also be offered in block days by arrangement.

Work is done in groups of about 20 students. In addition to the classroom sessions the exchange between students and teachers is supported by the internet-based communication platform ILIAS. After the students have successfully completed all courses, they begin with their Bachelor thesis. A colloquium concludes the examinations. The awarding of the bachelor's degree is the conclusion of the studies.
