The "Water Network - Universities in Muenster" was founded in 2004. It is a platform for more than 30 working groups at the University of Applied Sciences, Muenster (Faculties of Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy, Building and the Environment and Ecotrophology), the University of Muenster (Faculties of Biology, Chemistry and Pharmaceutics, Geosciences, Physics) and the University Hospital. Thanks to the integration of academic-application-orientated research and basic research in the area of water, this cross-university network has broad expertise and scientific excellence in the three priority areas, "water and nature", "water and technology", "water and mankind" at its disposal, which is symbolised by the logo.
