Then this workshop is perfect for you! The speaker, Julia Barden (www.juliabarden.com), is a psychologist with experience working in HR departments of various German companies. She specializes in supporting international professionals as they transition into the workforce. Julia provides practical strategies to help you navigate German culture with confidence and succeed in your career.

In this workshop, you will learn:

• What culture means and how your own cultural background influences your studies and work life.
• How German communication culture works, including direct communication and fact-oriented exchange.
• How to effectively apply key characteristics of the German workplace, such as structure, personal responsibility, and time management.
• The importance of punctuality, teamwork, and hierarchy in the German working environment.

 This practical workshop gives you the opportunity to reflect on your own culture, share your experiences in German culture, and gain a deeper understanding of it. The goal is to develop a thorough understanding of German culture so you can start your professional life in Germany with confidence.

It will take place via Zoom and contains interactive elements. Therefore, please make sure you’re using a desktop computer or laptop with webcam and microphone so you can be seen and heard.
