Specifically expand on your knowledge

Being a graduate of the Bachelor programme, you will be well aware that modern mechanical engineering is much more than construction design and mathematics. Have you completed your degree programme and master those basic skills, but are now looking for an opportunity to specifically expand on them? Which specific mechanical engineering aspects need to be considered in the development of complex aggregates? How can modern information processing be integrated cleverly into mechanical engineering? Which technologies are required in the agro-technical production of food and bioenergy? The Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering provides you with extensive knowledge on important issues within the subject area.

The Mechanical Engineering programme is not only offered as a full-time course, but also as a part-time option. Courses are then held two days a week. By extending the programme to six semesters, students with work and/or family responsibilities find it easier to combine study with work and/or family life.

If your ideal programme should have a business focus, however, then the Master's programme in Business Management in Technology is just the right course for you. Managing a technology oriented company requires interdisciplinary knowledge: successful experts from the industry have both engineering and business know-how. Such integrated management is a basic requirement for taking on responsibility for projects or staff, and therefore an important aspect for your own career. Business elements are provided by the Institute of Business Administration & Engineering (ITB), engineering elements by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Thanks to the department's extensive research activities, it has a network comprising numerous university and industrial partners. These connections will provide you with plenty of interesting opportunities to apply the theory you have gained while still at university - a guarantee for pursuing an application-oriented programme in touch with the latest trends!
