New regulation regarding grade conversion from winter semester 2016/17 onwards

In its meeting on October 22, 2015, the Examination Committee decided that grade conversions of examination results obtained at foreign universities will generally no longer be carried out as of the winter semester 2016/17. An exception exists in the case of cooperation with the foreign university with an agreement on a double degree.

The procedure for the recognition of credit points remains unchanged.

For students of the bachelor's programs EBP and CALA, automatic recognition is carried out using the grade tables listed below due to the cooperations on double degrees.

1. Before the study abroad

The application for recognition must be submitted BEFORE the stay abroad (download below) for the relevant study program and handed in at the examination office.

The following documents must be attached to the application:

  • Course or module descriptions including workload and credits (units).
  • Current transcript of grades Each course or module will be reviewed for content and does not yet constitute recognition.

2. During the stay abroad

If there are any changes in the course or module selection at the beginning of the stay abroad, you are obliged to consult us. It is best to send us a new application for recognition BEFORE the stay abroad (download below).

3. After the stay abroad

The application for recognition AFTER the stay abroad (download below) must be submitted for the respective study program and handed in at the examination office.

The following documents must be attached to the application:

  • Transcript of Records (list of all academic achievements abroad) in original form
  • Assessment Report (optional)
  • Current transcript of grades of the FH

As soon as the recognition has been granted, the results will be posted in the examination system and will be visible in your MyFH.
