Erasmus+: If you are going to spend a semester at an Erasmus+ partner university, please hand in the Erasmus+ registration form (Anmeldeformular) with your application (for your first preference if this is an Erasmus+ partner institution; if your 2nd/3rd preference is an Erasmus+ partner institution, we will contact you and ask you to hand in the form as soon as we need it). you will then be contacted by the International Office of FH Münster who is responsible for the Erasmus+ funding.
PROMOS: You may apply for PROMOS funding via the International Office (Please check the application deadlines!). If you need a confirmation about the meaningfulness of your semester abroad ("Sinnhaftigkeit des Auslandssemesters") please contact Lisa Schwabe (please send the form by e-mail with sufficient advance notice to be signed before the application deadline).
Auslands-BAföG: Please apply independently at the office responsible for your destination country. Even if you are not eligible to receive BAföG, you may be eligible to receive Auslands-BAföG. Auslands-BAföG can be helpful to co-finance your semester if you need to pay tuition fees (up to 5.600 € may be paid to cover tution fees during a semester abroad).
HAW.International: New scholarship provided by DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) for students of Universities of Applied Sciences (= FHs) since 2019. Please note the application deadlines and documents and send your application directly to DAAD.
Of course, there are more scholarships and ways to finance your semester abroad. The ones mentioned here are the most common ones and the ones that are conducted by the International Office of FH Münster (Erasmus+ and PROMOS).
