Internship
The internship covers a period of at least 20 weeks and the weekly working time is at least 35 hours. It is assessed (together with the internship report) with 30 ECTS.
The Latin American students should preferably complete the internship in a company in Germany/Europe, the German students preferably in Latin America.
The programme directors decide on exceptions.
The internship introduces you to professional practice through concrete tasks and practical work in companies or other institutions. The knowledge and skills acquired so far in the degree programme are applied in practice.
Registration of the internship
As soon as you have found an internship, please send the internship contract to the IB&M-office (ibmfh-muensterde). The IB&M-office will forward the contract to the examination office with the information by when the internship report must be submitted at the latest. You will also receive this information (see under "Internship report"). The examination office will then officially register your internship.

Since the internship contract has been signed, please send us the following details of the person who will be supervising your internship:
- Surname, first name
- Position in the company
- Telephone number

Internship report
The internship report is a prerequisite for the crediting of the internship semester.
It is not assessed with a grade, but with "passed" or "failed".
The report must be submitted to FH Münster no later than two months after completion of the internship.
Information for Latin American students at FH Münster:
The supervisor who reads or will read your thesis will also evaluate the internship report.

Information for German students at the Latin American partner universities:
Some of the partner universities have different requirements for the internship reports. If these do not correspond to our criteria, you write the internship report for FH Münster to OUR conditions. Please contact us to find out for which partner universities this applies.
The passed report will be credited with 30 ECTS by the examination office.
Internship certificate
After the internship, please send us your official internship certificate by email to ibmfh-muensterde.
The certificate should contain:
- period of the internship (at least 20 weeks)
- weekly working hours (at least 35 hours)
- list of your tasks
- evaluation of your tasks
The certificate must be stamped and signed.
