Objectives

You cannot learn internationality, you have to experience it: this is exactly what the German-Latin American Business Administration degree programme (CALA) offers you. Students spend a total of 18 months at one of our partner universities in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru or Argentina. You will obtain a high degree of intercultural competence, which is indispensable for later activities in an international environment and especially in international management.
The comprehensive teaching content on the topic of sustainability enables you to act responsibly in work and life situations.
As a graduate of the CALA Bachelor's programme, you are proficient in methods and instruments of business administration, speak several languages with confidence, have cultural and region-specific expert knowledge and can provide evidence of an academic double degree. With this, you can start as a trainee in companies in all sectors, e.g. as a junior consultant in a management consultancy, an assistant to the board of directors or as a consultant in development aid institutions.

Studying on two continents

You will start the CALA degree programme in Germany. First you will study at FH Münster University of Applied Sciences for four semesters, completing an elementary and an intermediate stage. You will learn as part of a set group of 10 to 20 students. You will also have constant contact with your fellow students from Latin America, who will also be studying at FH Münster in parallel groups or in the same groups. During the elementary stage, you will gain subject expertise and key competencies in business administration and economics. You will take subjects such as Statistics, Management and Business Informatics and will improve your spanish or portuguese skills. Furthermore you will become familiar with the political, geographical, legal and historical aspects of the region by the subject Latin American Regional Studies. The following intermediate stage will prepare you well for studying in Latin America. In addition to improving your foreign language skills and your knowledge of Latin American Regional Studies, you will also have classes such as Business Management or International Business Administration. Optional intermediate modules, such as Business English, Management of Technology, Marketing or Logistics, complete the range of courses.
