Das CALA Team

You cannot learn internationality, you have to experience it: this is exactly what the German-Latin American Business Administration degree programme (CALA) makes possible. Students spend a total of 18 months at one of our partner universities in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru or Argentina. They acquire a high level of intercultural competence, which is essential for their future careers in an international environment, and especially in international management. As a graduate of the CALA Bachelor's programme, you will be conversant with business administration methods and tools, you will speak several languages confidently, and you will possess cultural and region-specific expert knowledge and demonstrated by an academic double degree. You can start as a trainee in companies of all industries, junior consultant in a management consultancy, assistant to the board of directors, consultant in development aid institutions.

Studying on two continents

You will start the CALA degree programme in Germany. First of all, you will study at FH Münster University of Applied Sciences for four semesters, completing an elementary and an intermediate stage. You will learn as part of a set group of 20 to 25 students. You will also have constant contact with your fellow students from Latin America, who will also be studying at FH Münster in a parallel group. At the elementary stage, you will gain subject expertise and key competencies in business administration and economics; you will take subjects such as Statistics, Management and Business Informatics; you will improve your Spanish or Portuguese skills; and you will become familiar with the political, geographical, legal and historical aspects of the region in Latin American Regional Studies. The following intermediate stage will prepare you well for studying in Latin America. In addition to improving your foreign language skills and further Latin American Regional Studies, you will also have classes such as Business Management or International Business Administration. Optional intermediate modules, such as Business English, Marketing or Logistics, complete the range of courses on offer.
