As every semester, design graduates at MSD, Münster School of Design, showcase their degree projects to the public. Münster School of Design at Münster University of Applied Sciences stands for contemporary, practice-oriented training. It is noted for its interdisciplinary teaching across priority areas.
Design is more necessary than ever before. Never has there been such a high demand for design. Digital channels, whether stationary or mobile, have not taken the place of analogue ones. Now more than ever before it is a matter of reaching reference groups via smart links.
More people want to have their voices heard, and more people should be listening. Acting in the capacity of 'translators', designers analyse situations and ask critical questions so as to convey messages expediently. These analytical skills, the precondition for quality, are as crucial as craftsmanship.
This is reflected at the exhibition weekend: in addition to getting across a passion for design, the event also documents the fact that, in their work, MSD graduates explore everyday, social, cultural and environmentally oriented issues, and offer solutions by means of design.
