This experiment deals with Fourier optics. You will image various objects [see figures (a) and (c)] with a 4f-image. By adding beam blockers and diaphragms in the Fourier plane of the first lens, the images of these pictures can be high-pass filtered and low-pass filtered [see figures (b) and (d)].
