DEUTSCH
Funded by the European Union, ESPRIT-Project no. 31063 MOSIS (Micro-Optical Systems in Silicon), Develpoment and and Applications of Novel Optoelectromechanical Systems Micromachined in Silicon.

In the framework of this project, novel deformable mirrors were developed and tested. These mirrors are now widely used and are commercially available from the company Flexible Optical (www.okotech.com). Our role in this project was testing of the mirrors, investigating different dielectric coatings, and developing concepts for adaptive laser amplifiers and laser resonators that are based on these mirrors. Our partners in this project were:

  • Technical University of Delft, Electronic Instrumentation Laboratotry, Dr. Gleb Vdovin
  • Imperial College London, Applied Optics Group, Prof. Dr. Chris Dainty
  • University of Edinburgh,Applied Optics Group, Dr. David Vass
  • Technical University of Berlin, Laser- und Medizin-Technologie Berlin GmbH, Prof. Dr. Horst Weber
  • University of Stuttgart,Institut für Technische Optik, Prof. Dr. Hans Tiziani
  • Thales, Laboratoire Central de Recherches, Orsay, Frankreich, Cecile Joubert
  • University of Neuchatel, Institute of Microtechnology, Prof. Dr. Rene Dändliker
