8-9 October 2018 | Münster

8th and 9th of October, the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC) hosted 14 Latin American delegates and project partners from the RIESAL project (Regional Network for the Promotion of the Internationalization of Higher Education in Latin America), who in the framework of one of their missions to Europe, came to Münster to learn about how the knowledge transfer is carried out, and how innovation and entrepreneurship take place in the city. S2BMRC itself is member of the consortium.

The RIESAL project aims to contribute to improving the management skills of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Latin America and the Caribbean to boost their internationalization processes and remodel their interventions in an integral way. The consortium is composed of 13 Latin American and Caribbean universities and organisations, and 4 European universities, including Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) through the S2BMRC.

The itinerary started with an introductory meeting in our S2BMRC, including presentations from the 3 research lines of the Centre, a presentation from the International Office of the Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) and a presentation of CALA (German-Latin American Business Administration Degree), the dual degree programme of MUAS in cooperation with different universities in Latin America.

Other points on the agenda included visits to:

Nano-Bioanalytik Zentrum: A regional network consisting of universities, research centres, companies and transfer facilities.

TransferAgency of MUAS: TAFH Münster GmbH is the central innovation promotion and project development company of MUAS. They connect experts from science and practice in order to launch innovative projects together, e.g. in research and development, higher education or business start-ups.

Venture Club Münster: Münster's largest student association for start-ups, with more than 150 members and actively participating alumni, providing a network committed to improving the legal, political and economic environment for entrepreneurs.

Peace Hall: Located in the Gothic city hall of Münster, it owes its name to the closing of the Spanish-Dutch Peace. Its historical importance for the development of Europe continues to be highlighted today.

The delegates networked with the representatives of each organization and solved their respective questions. Now the delegates continue their mission in Brussels, Belgium, and we wish them much success!
