A global forum for university-industry cooperation champions - leaders, researchers, practitioners and business representatives operating at the intersection between academia and business was held to bring people with interest in this topic together. The workshop inspired by boundary spanning tools, frameworks and unique personal storiesfrom across the globe, by meeting peers and connecting with other champions driving university-industry interaction, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and innovation.
This online gathering of practitioners, organised by UIIN, covered a wide range of topics around university-industry engagement with the main focus being on people - those who are at the forefront of interaction, who break down the barriers between academia and business and drive meaningful change and collaborative innovation for their organisations.
The workshops positioned itself as an international recognition of the efforts of university-industry champions and the role these spanning boundaries agents play in today's innovation and higher education landscape.
>40 Participants from several European countries, but also from Australia, the US and Africa participated and discussed the topic to further develop the field.
