8th and 9th June 2021 | Online

The second transnational meeting of the Erasmus + Partnership program "Value and Future" took place the 8thand 9th of June 2021 and was hosted by the German partner, the FH Münster University of Applied Sciences. Due to the current situation, the meeting was held on Zoom and the experiences, results, and status quo of the first months of the project were brought together. The Value and Future project is an international project of six European partners, consisting of the FH Münster University of Applied Sciences (Germany), University of Nicosia (Cyprus), IDEC (Greece), Escola Pia de Mataró (Spain), MentorProgramma Friesland (The Netherlands) and Kauno statybos ir paslaugu mokymo centras (Lituania).

Since sustainable and future oriented entrepreneurship is built on ethics, morals, and values, the goal of the project is to empower students towards ethical entrepreneurship. A special focus is hereby set on students and the ultimate goal is to provide lectures, where the students learn to elaborate ethical behaviors. Throughout the project, which has a total duration of 36 months, the students visit companies and conduct interviews with entrepreneurs, in order to find answers to the following questions: "What matters to me as a future entrepreneur and what matters to entrepreneurs I meet? What matters to my future and what matters to enterprises around me

At the transnational meeting, which was facilitated by José Miguel Gutierrez (S2BMRC). The partners reported about their experiences regarding the first months of the project. It was debated how the future organization can be improved, which aspects are particularly important and which learning outcomes can be drawn from the pilot tests. In the first year of the project, modules under the topic "Value and Future" were already provided at the various partner institutions and the students learned about the relevance of ethical entrepreneurship through case studies. Eva Sormani and Franzisca Suttrup of the S2BMRC who are responsible inter alia for a quick scan manual for the company visits by the students, were satisfied with the results of the meeting especially because the last semesters were conducted under quite "extraordinary circumstances".

The next transnational meeting will be hosted by IDEC (Greece) in January 2022 and hopes are high that the Corona-related situation will have improved by then in so far as the meeting can take place in Peireias and the partners can get to know each other personally. This meeting will be preceded by a staff training event in Cyprus in October. During the next two years, all partners are going to continue working on various activities to inspire and motivate students and teachers. These activities include debates and dialogues, as well as interviews and case studies about ethical dilemmas.
