After collaborating for almost two years, the UNLOCK project consortium was ready to share what they have learned about making and using educational escape rooms.
Hosted by the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), the Learning Mobility involved further training of the participants in the topic of escape rooms, paired with a fun and educational social program. S2BMRC staff members Hacer Tercanli, Iulia Stroila and Maggie Chogwai Chak participated in the Learning Mobility Program, during which they had to prove their knowledge of game design, and turn their already thought-out escape room designs into reality with the materials and rooms provided by the "Makers Lab" of AUAS.
The escape rooms developed by the teams were later tested and evaluated by the participants, as well as academics and students of the AUAS Business School. Reflections of the consortium on their experience with game design led to fruitful discussions on how to improve the UNLOCK Project MOOC content, that is planned to be released in the year of 2022.
The program further included a consortium game play in award winning Escape Room "Sherlocked" in Amsterdam, and a social dinner.
