In collaboration with five international partners from the Pioneering Innovative Food for Seniors (PIFS) consortium, S2BMRC presents the latest Good Practice Guides for Innovating Food for Seniors.

There are two versions of the Good Practice Guide: one targeting Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and the other for Vocational Education and Training (VET) trainers. Each version presents 20 carefully selected, compelling Good Practices case studies from our project partner regions and within European Union and covers learning activities and tips that can be introduced or incorporated into the present food innovation approaches across Europe. As a part of the consortium, the Good Practice Guides are unique training tools for SMEs and VET trainers to understand the drivers and opportunities for food innovation in the senior markets in Europe, to get a complete view of the commercial examples driving the opportunities for food innovation in the "Silver Economy" in Europe and to provide inspirations for applying the learnings to their food businesses.

Both Good Practice Guides are available in 4 languages: English, German, Lithuanian and Spanish.

The Pioneering Innovative Food for Seniors consortium is an international Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership between S2BMRC at the FH Münster University of Applied Sciences (Germany), University of Nottingham (United Kingdom), Ageing Social Lab (Spain), Momentum (Ireland), Lithuanian Innovation Centre (Lithuania), and European E-learning Institute (Denmark). It aims to improve SME food companies' key innovation and entrepreneurial skills to exploit niche market opportunities for new food products and services in the "Silver Economy" and enhance the interaction and knowledge exchange between academia and food companies. Apart from the Good Practice Guides, the consortium will continue to develop an Innovation Readiness Self-Assessment Tool for SME food companies to assess their innovation readiness and provide an Online Education Platform with multiple Online Education Resources to strengthen their capabilities in innovating food products and services for seniors.
