Our team member Nelli Scharapow hosted a little entrepreneurial event in connection to the Value and Future Project in behalf of the German Team.
In order to empower young people towards ethical entrepreneurship and leadership, the project team brings in role models as inspiration for students. In this event, first of all, Guiseppina and Marc from Boutiqua Portuguesa pitched their start-up and lovely story to the students. In addition, Maynara Furquim told the students about her successful family business, which she started originally in Brazil, and concluded with a personal emotional story, where she shared a bad experience with leadership.
Afterwards, the entrepreneurs challenged the students with ethical tasks and questions.
The method used in the event was the World Café method, therefore the students worked on the tasks in groups for a limited time and rotated, so that the groups could work on the different tasks and add upon the former points. During this time, they had the opportunity to interact with the entrepreneurs and the participating teachers.
It was a great discussion and the students had the chance to be so close to real international entrepreneurs, get to know them and exchange on the topic of ethics and values together, which is crucial for the process of development.
