7 students and three supervisors offered a marketing and sales strategy to our business partner "TechConsult" from Hessen. "TechConsult" developed a digital tool to determine the digital competences of employees anonymously. For this new service, Peter Burghardt (Techconsult's CEO) assigned us the task of defining target groups and the elated decision makers as well as a sales strategy.
For one semester, our team worked with full commitment on a semester project with six bachelor students and one master student. In the process, Prof. Dr. Tobias Kesting had two Bachelor students conduct an international competitor analysis. In addition, our PhD candidate Annika Wesbuer supervised one master student and four bachelor students. They worked with full commitment on the 'mixed method' for identifying potential customers and responsible contacts in companies and public institutions. This means that our students contacted several experts and conducted, coded and evaluated interviews.
After that, they conducted a survey with a panel in cooperation with "TechConsult" and received over 200 responses. The team applied this survey for the above purpose and provided a consultancy presentation to the company. At the end of the project, the entire team, together with the project director, Prof. habil. Dr. Thomas Baaken, set off for Kassel. There, the master and bachelor students performed as consultants and presented the results. The presentation was a complete success and made our supervisors proud due to the team's full commitment. We thank Leonie Pöter, Amir Ali Maayeshi, Mihane Mulaj, Julia Baumgarten, Julian Busch, Jaci Jones and John Canning for their effort as student consultants, and to Pia Töns, who brought the team safely to Kassel and back.
The project ended with a joint dinner and a walk at the "Hercules" landmark.
