In a significant step towards preparing the next generation of digital transformation leaders, the Managing Digital Transformation (MDT) Academy recently completed its pilot phase. Developed as part of the Erasmus+ Strategic Alliances Project over the past three years, this innovative initiative is a collaborative effort of multiple consortium partners, including ACEEU, Athens University of Economics and Business, EIT Urban Mobility, FH Münster University of Applied Sciences, NOVA IMS Information Management School, SAXION University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Twente.
The primary goal of the MDT Academy is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the complex landscape of digital transformation effectively. To achieve this, the academy offers six specialized tracks, each designed to address different aspects of digital transformation:
- Digital Transformations - A Changing Society
- Data-Driven World
- Boost Your Digital Skills
- Reimagine Organizations: Transformation of Business Models
- Digital Transformation Leadership
- Digital Transformation Challenges
As a researcher and project manager at S2BMRC of FH Münster, Judith Helmer contributed to the MDT Academy, who, together with her Graduate Research Assistant, developed the specialization on digital skills.
The recent pilot phase of the MDT Academy took place in early September 2023 as part of the MSB Summer School at FH Münster University of Applied Sciences. Master's students from FH Münster and international partner universities were given the opportunity to engage with various aspects of the academy's curriculum. Throughout the pilot, students were exposed to a diverse range of materials, including informative videos, practical case studies, and interactive exercises, offering them a comprehensive understanding of digital transformation processes and challenges.
The success of the pilot phase was made possible through the collaboration with Claudia Umanzor and her organizing team at the MSB Summer School, who worked closely with the MDT Academy to facilitate this invaluable learning experience. Thank you very much to Claudia Umanzor and her organising team for the great experience!
As digital transformation continues to reshape industries and societies worldwide, initiatives like the MDT Academy are crucial in ensuring that the future leaders are well-equipped to tackle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. With its diverse specializations and commitment to delivering high-quality education, the MDT Academy is poised to play a vital role in shaping the digital leaders of tomorrow. Soon, the MDT Academy will be officially launched and public available for aspiring responsible digital change agents.
