Dr. Iulia Stroila, a dedicated member of the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre, achieved a significant academic milestone by receiving her Doctor of Philosophy degree, with all the rights, privileges and duties that go with it.
The Graduation Ceremony, held on September 19th at the University of Adelaide, was shared with a wider audience through a YouTube livestream.
Dr. Stroila's PhD thesis, titled "Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Well-being: Unpacking the Multilevel, Multidimensional, and Configurational Nature of Ecosystem Health", is a notable contribution to her field. Her research focuses on understanding the relationship between entrepreneurial ecosystems and well-being, expanding on existing frameworks that often emphasize economic aspects. Her work highlights the need for a comprehensive understanding of these ecosystems in addressing contemporary societal and environmental challenges.
Dr. Iulia Stroila was awarded the academic title in a cooperative PhD procedure of the Adelaide Business School at the University of Adelaide and the Münster School of Business, FH Münster University of Applied Sciences. Supervisors in the PhD have been:

Beyond her dissertation, Iulia actively participates in various collaborative research projects with researchers from S2BMRC and ECIC. This includes an empirical case study on the identities of women entrepreneurs in emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems in Münster, Germany, as well as projects examining the role of women entrepreneurs in established ecosystems in Tel Aviv, Israel. Additionally, she collaborates on a research project exploring the influence of societal values on women's social entrepreneurship, utilizing a multilevel model and data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor.
Iulia's contributions have not gone unnoticed, as her work has been recognized with acceptances and awards at international conferences, including the Academy of Management, ACERE Conference, Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, and the Nordic Conference on Small Business Research.
Throughout her academic journey, Iulia has consistently demonstrated her commitment to research and innovation. She has managed projects such as RestART Europe and ARDENT and served as the lead researcher for WeRin.
