In a resounding display of collaboration and empowerment, the first Women's Empowerment Convention unfolded on November 22, 2023, at the prestigious Atlantic Hotel in Münster. Our Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre organized in partnership with the University of Münster, FH Münster, and the REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center, this ground breaking event aimed to enhance the representation and visibility of women in entrepreneurship, the start-up scene, leadership, and innovation.

The convention, divided into a daytime and an evening program, provided a platform for women to delve into their remarkable achievements and untapped potential in shaping the innovation culture.

Daytime Program: A Journey of Enlightenment

The daytime program commenced with an invigorating keynote address by the distinguished Tijen Onaran. Attendees were treated to a day filled with enlightening workshops led by a diverse range of experts, offering invaluable knowledge and tools for personal and professional growth. From New Work to Inclusive Financing, Communication strategies and discussion on careers among others, a large variety of topics was covered.

Evening Program: Navigating the Future of Work

As the sun set, the convention transitioned to a captivating evening program. A panel discussion titled "New Work, Equal Pay, Work-Life Blending: Do New Working Conditions Change the Opportunities for Women?" unfolded, enriched by insights from inspiring speakers: Magdalena Rogl, Dr. Simone Burel, Thorsten Giersch, Prof. Dr. Maike Tietjens, and Magdalena Münstermann sharing their perspectives.

A highlight of the evening was the impactful poetry slam by Lila Sovia, earning a standing ovation for her powerful commentary.

The event served as a testament to the collaborative efforts of both regional and national organizations, emphasizing the critical need to foster an inclusive and diverse ecosystem. By bringing together like-minded individuals, the Women's Empowerment Convention sparked meaningful conversations, forged connections, and laid the groundwork for a future where women play an even more prominent role in shaping our professional landscape.
