Under the mentorship of Nelli Scharapow, a semester project has emerged within the WE.Lead Project, funded by BMBF. This German initiative is dedicated to amplifying women in leadership and supporting female entrepreneurs in launching and expanding their startups.
Led by 5 Master's students in International Marketing and Sales, the project engaged 4 Bachelor students from diverse business backgrounds. The team's focus was on the profound impact of New Work on women entrepreneurs and leaders. The project encompassed a comprehensive Literature Review, exploring the nexus of New Work, Women Entrepreneurship, and Leadership. Real-world insights were gathered through interviews with New Work experts, providing firsthand perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in the evolving landscape of New Work.
Culminating in the derivation of implications, the project analyzed findings to understand New Work and inform strategies and policies supporting women in leadership roles and entrepreneurship. This collaborative effort not only contributes to academic knowledge but also promotes a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by women in leadership positions, driving positive change within the WE.Lead initiative and the broader pursuit of gender equality in the professional arena. "In the pursuit of gender equality, the intersection of New Work, Women Entrepreneurship, and Leadership stands as a critical focal point. Through understanding, collaboration, and strategic insights, we pave the way for a future where every woman's potential is realized, and her contributions are celebrated in all facets of professional life" says Dr Sue Rossano-Rivero, Acting Managing Director of the S2BMRC.
