In the framework of the RIESAL project (Regional Network for the Promotion of the Internationalization of Higher Education in Latin America), hosted by the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Prof. Thorsten Kliewe and Claudia Umanzor along with 118 participants from Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Uruguay (RIESAL partners) and also from Argentina, Chile, Honduras, Nicaragua and Paraguay, gathered in Puebla, Mexico at the international conference "Capacities and Synergies for Internationalization in Latin America and the Caribbean".
Participants were able to deepen their knowledge on internationalization through magisterial lectures, workshops, panel discussions and also networking events.
The S2BMRC stood out in a discussion panel with the participation of María Teresa Uribe Jaramillo, Juliana Villegas Cuadros who portrayed a Latinamerican perspective and Prof. Thorsten Kliewe gave insight into the German approach on the topic of "University Business Cooperation", which was moderated by Claudia Umanzor.
Prof. Thorsten Kliewe also facilitated a workshop on the Entrepreneurial and Engaged University that opened the door for interesting questions and reflections on behalf of the attendees.
The occasion was also the perfect platform to launch the RIESAL latest edition on Internationalization.
