28 September 2018 | Münster

On September 26th to the 28th, Dr. David Blanco and Sebastián Tolvett M.Sc. from the Metropolitan Technological University (UTEM) in Chile visited the technology and innovation assets of Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) including the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Park in Steinfurt (GRIPS), the Transfer Agency at Münster University of Applied Sciences (TAFH) and the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC). This visit is part of the Professional Development Program (PDP), a program offered by MUAS to universities interested in developing their entrepreneurial and innovative profile.

During their visit to MUAS, the participants aimed at getting new insights and knowledge on four main topics:

  1. Curricular harmonization and technological postgraduate programs
  2. Tranfer 3.0 and University-Business Cooperation
  3. Science-to-Business Marketing
  4. Alliances with universities of applied sciences with international perspective.

This knowledge was delivered on a tailor-made training programme entitled "An integral strategy for the entrepreneurial university". The visit included learning from key units driving innovation and knowledge and technology transfer at MUAS, such as GRIPS - the entrepreneurship and Innovation Park at Steinfurt, a successful Spin-off organisation from the S2BMRC - The University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) in Amsterdam, the TAFH and the S2BMRC.

The PDP represents also a linkage mechanism that allow us, the MUAS and S2BMRC, to strengthen our links with Latin-American universities and learn from different contexts and cultures that influence the development of entrepreneurial and engaged universities.

We would like to extend the invitation to explore the entrepreneurial profile to other universities and work together in their developmental journey.
