Our team member Nelli Scharapow went to her PhD cooperation university VU Amsterdam for a research group event.
The event featured an array of presentations shedding light on crucial aspects of technology development and its intersection with societal and environmental well-being. Thank you to Dr. Sandra Hasanefendic, Prof. Bart Bossink and Dr. Marjolein Hoogstraaten who led the discussions, offering profound insights into the current state of global technology development. They explored the complex relationship between technological advancement, environmental impact, and societal well-being, emphasizing the need for a harmonious balance. Their discussions also highlighted the critical roles that governments and higher education institutions must play in ensuring this balance for future tech upscaling. A highlight of the event was a presentation by Prof. Nikola Stakic, CFA from Univerzitet Singidunum in Belgrade, Serbia. His talk focused on "Investing in Uncertain Times," providing valuable knowledge on the best financing mechanisms for tech market entry. He elaborated on portfolio asset management, its potential in various stages of development, and the importance of personal investment strategies in fostering successful tech innovations.
PhD students, including Nelli, also had the opportunity to present their ongoing research in form of a Pecha Kucha presentation method and afterwards they were working on real life challenges from start-ups in form of a hackathon, where Nelli's team actually worked together with the founder and won the price from the jury.
