14 October 2019 | Groningen

On the 14th of October, Eva Sormani and Iulia Stroila, both team members of the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre, were invited by Dr Silvia Costa, assistant professor at the University of Groningen, to visit the University of Groningen Centre of Entrepreneurship. The three researchers discussed insights from the workshop Experiments in Entrepreneurship

The workshop was organised by the University of Groningen Centre of Entrepreneurship (UGCE) in partnership with the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) and the SOM Research Institute of the University of Groningen's Faculty of Economics and Business. The workshop's purpose was to support early-career scholars designing, conducting, and analysing experiments and to provide them with both peer and expert feedback on their working papers.

During their visit in Groningen, Eva and Iulia got new insights and knowledge on how to conduct experiments in entrepreneurship research and joined the network of scholars who are working with experimental methodologies in entrepreneurship research. The unique stand of the workshop is that it aims at bringing together several experts in the field of entrepreneurship and scholars conducting research using similar methodological approaches. The two team members are further integrated into the knowledge exchange process since the workshop is only one of many to follow. The workshop represents also a linkage mechanism that allows team members from S2BMRC to strengthen the contacts to other PhD candidates, Post-Docs, early-stage Assistant Professors, and experts working on studies in entrepreneurship research using experimental methodologies.
