14 June 2019 | Münster
As part of the Social Design Thinking course led by Balzhan Orazbayeva, 14 students presented their ideas on Friday 14 June 2019. Also visiting were the three stakeholders bayti hier, DKMS and TechLabs, who each gave a social impact challenge to the students. These challenges involved the ideation of a concept with a social focus with the aim to be implemented within these organisations.
The students worked on their projects in small groups for more than 6 weeks. The ideas ranged from a tech-education concept for young pupils, to sustainable integration of refugees into society, to a concept in which people should overcome their fears of bone marrow donation. The ideas were so well received by the stakeholders that they are now even working on an implementation concept. The final presentations took place in The Hive, the address of the founder scene in Münster. The Hive is a founder hotspot, recently created by the student initiatives Venture Club Münster and TechLabs at the Alter Fischmarkt (old fish market) in Münster.
