The EARTH (Ethical and Responsible Transportation and Handling) project partners gathered on the 24th and 25th of September 2024 for the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting. Hosted by Ege University, in Izmir (Turkey), the two-days meeting focused on collaborative discussions, knowledge sharing, and future planning to advance the project's objectives.

In the first day, partners dedicated their efforts in the advancement of Work Package 2, with its leader, the European E-Learning Institute (Denmark), leading the discussion about the structure of the Good Practice Compendium & Starter Kit. The Associazione Italiana di Logistica e di Supply Chain Management (Italy) actively supported the conversation by sharing the results of its case studies and initial conclusions, which were presented in a conference a couple weeks before. These remarks were corroborated by other partners' experiences with their own case studies. European E-Learning Institute will now gather the research insights from all partner regions to compile the first EARTH public resource, expected to be launched by the end of the year.

The first day ended with a Curriculum Development Workshop for Work Package 3, led by FH Münster and Ege University. Through an ideation and feedback collection methods, partners started co-creating the Problem-Based Learning Open Educational Resources, which aim to facilitate the seamless integration of sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals into logistics innovation management programmes and will be pilot tested next year with students and educators.

The second day brought a lot of valuable and insightful discussions on Work Package 4 (E-Benchmarking), project management, and dissemination. University of Szczecin provided an updated on the E-Benchmarking tool, sharing progress and outlining the future work plan. The session on Project Management, led by the project leader (University of Szczecin), ensured that all partners are aligned on the financial and administrative aspects, starting the preparations for the project's Interim Report in early 2025. Finally, the team reviewed dissemination activities to date and strategised on the next steps to maximize the project's impact.

This meeting marked another step forward in the shared journey towards fostering a logistics sector that is both efficient and sustainable through higher education. Thank you to the hosts at Ege University for a stimulating and rewarding environment, and to the engaged, insightful and thought-provoking consortium partners!
