S2BMRC is delighted to welcome Ms Mona Elrawi to our S2B office. Ms. Elrawi is a visiting researcher and an expert in Horizon 2020 funding opportunities, coming from Egypt. She will be staying with us from 14.01.2019 to 01.02.2019. Her visit has been supported by the European Commission under Horizon 2020 project that our Center is participating in titled: Quintuple Helix Approach to Targeted Open Innovation in Energy, Water, Agriculture in the South Mediterranean Neighborhood http://www.5toi.eu/.
Ms Elrawi holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and boasts management experience in the European Union Research and Innovation projects. She obtained several courses in EU project management and implementation as well as grant and proposal writing. She is a Program Manager at the Research and Innovation Management Unit at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt. Furthermore, she is the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) national contact point for Horizon 2020 Programme and acting as Egyptian National Contact Point for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon 2020 programme since October 2014.
From 2008 until present, she participated in the management of around 15 EU projects in different topics and areas of research (i.e. Entrepreneurship and Innovation Support, Clusters Development and linking Research to Industry, Sustainable Development in different domains). She participated in International Cooperation and New EU Projects Submission under different EU Programmes (Horizon 2020, RDI, ENPI CBC MEED and Europe Aid). She has a good experience in promotion and dissemination of Horizon 2020 Programme and supporting Egyptian researchers as well as academic and non-academic organizations in the processes of proposal writing and submission.
Due to her exceptional credentials and knowledge, we are looking forward to working and learning from Ms Elrawi.
