The SUNRISE LAB was represented at the Living Lab Conference 2024 in Dresden on April 11 and 12, 2024 - an event full of inspiration, networking, and innovative ideas. Under the motto "Reallabore - ExperimentierRäume für den Weg in eine nachhaltige Gesellschaft / Living Labs - Experimental Spaces for the Path towards a Sustainable Society," experts and practitioners gathered to discuss the transformative power of Living Labs. The conference was organized by the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development in cooperation with the network "Reallabore der Nachhaltigkeit." With an impressive keynote, Uwe Schneidewind opened the days and provided exciting insights into the status and perspectives of Living Labs, which sparked further discussions.

In various sessions and workshop discussions, current challenges and solutions were lively debated. The areas in which Living Labs are implemented were extremely diverse, focusing on different implementation spaces and issues. The interactive poster session allowed us to present the SUNRISE LAB and directly engage with other Living Lab actors on sustainability transformation at universities.

Participation of the SUNRISE LAB in the Living Lab Conference 2024 not only provided the opportunity for presentation and networking and partnerships but also for deepening our understanding of the diverse approaches and challenges in Living Lab research. We gained valuable insights from the discussions and received impulses that we now aim to implement in practice to continue actively contributing to shaping a sustainable university landscape.
