The SUNRISE LAB is a collaborative project between FH Münster, Katholische Hochschule NRW, and Universität Münster, investigating how real-world labs can contribute to the sustainable transformation of higher education institutions.
On March 25th and 26th, 2025, the Status Seminar of the BMBF funding initiative "Transformationspfade für nachhaltige Hochschulen" (Transformation Paths for Sustainable Universities) took place at the Hochschule für nachhaltige Entwicklung Eberswalde (HNEE). The event was organized by HNEE, the Hochschulrektorenkonferenz, the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V., and the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF).
The seminar provided a valuable platform for exchanging insights with representatives from the other ten funded projects, discussing challenges, and identifying synergies for the future. Moderated discussions and Barcamp sessions allowed for in-depth exploration of specific issues, while also providing valuable insights into the findings of the accompanying research project "traNHSform."
To continue advancing, transferring, and institutionalizing these transformation paths, a follow-up application will be submitted. The goal is to strengthen sustainability within the university landscape in Münster and beyond.
