How do I get my semester ticket?

You do not have to purchase the semester ticket separately. Die Kosten für das Ticket sind gedeckt durch den Studierendenschaftsbeitrag, der jedes Semester fällig wird. You can easily download the semester ticket.

This is how you proceed:

  1. Transfer the semester fee when you enrol or re-register.
  2. Log in to the myFH portal.
  3. Log in to the myFH portal.
  4. Download the semester ticket as a pdf file.

The download only works if you are fully enrolled or re-enrolled.

Don't forget: You can show the ticket in printed form or on your smartphone at ticket inspections. What you must always have with you is a valid photo ID.

 


Where can I use the semester ticket?

The semester ticket is valid for all buses, trams, suburban and underground trains, suspension railways and local trains (RB, RE) in Münsterland (VGM Verkehrsgemeinschaft Münsterland).

You can find out on which routes you can also use the ticket outside Münsterland on the website of the General Students' Committee (AStA).

 


How long is my semester ticket valid for?

The semester ticket is valid for one semester and must be updated every semester.

Note for first-year students:

Wenn Sie im 1. Semester sind, können Sie das Semesterticket bereits einen Monat vor Semesterbeginn - also ab 01.08. (Sommersemester) bzw. ab 01.02. (Wintersemester) - für Studienzwecke nutzen. Dafür müssen Sie bei den Fahrten eine Vorstudienbescheinigung des AStA mit dabei haben.

What happens if I lose my semester ticket?

If you lose your ticket, you can download a new one free of charge from the myFH portal at any time. There is no need to send it by post.

 


Can I get a refund for my semester ticket?

You can have the amount for the semester ticket refunded by the Service Office for Students by 14 April (summer semester) or 15 October (winter semester), for example, if you withdraw from the university. A pro rata refund is not possible.

For other reasons for reimbursement, e.g. if you are not at your place of study for study-related reasons, are on leave of absence or if you have a severely disabled person's pass with a token in accordance with § 145 SGB IX, please contact the AStA. You must provide evidence of the reasons for the refund.
