You can be exmatriculated at the Service Office for Students at any time.

Attention recipients of BAföG!
Your exmatriculation will not be automatically transmitted to the BAföG office by Münster University of Applied Sciences. You should therefore inform the BAföG office yourself that you have finished your studies. Otherwise, the BAföG payment would continue and you would have to pay back the money transferred.
Reimbursement of the semester ticket
Reimbursement of the semester ticket in the event of exmatriculation is made via the Service Office for Students at Münster University of Applied Sciences.
For other reasons for reimbursement, e.g. study-related absence from the place of study or exemption from the semester ticket due to a severely disabled ID with a token in accordance with § 145 SGB IX, please contact the AStA.
Deadlines for the pro rata refund
If you have successfully completed your studies, you can have yourself exmatriculated, otherwise you will automatically remain enrolled until the end of the semester. Receipt of the certificate of successful completion of your final examination does not automatically lead to early exmatriculation.
The social contribution for the Studierendenwerk will be refunded on a pro-rata basis in the event of early de-registration. The student union fee for the AStA will only be reimbursed for the semester in which you are enrolled until the official start of lectures. The official start of lectures in the winter semester 2023/24 is 25 September.
The semester ticket will be refunded in full by the Service Office for Students until 45 days after the start of the semester (wintersemester until 15 October, summer semester until 14 April). After that, a refund is no longer possible in the event of exmatriculation. There is no provision for a partial refund of the semester ticket.
